I’d like to say that I’m an awesome blogger but that would be a lie! I’m new to posting blogs. I have mastered Facebook and can do that in my sleep. Twitter – a big fat “No“– but you can’t blame a girl for trying. Instagram – yes, if posting pictures of my ‘newest creations only’ counts. I set up a Snap Chat account and have dabbled with that a little but my teenage son is snapping and chatting up a storm next to me and I’m still trying to figure out how to put one of those fawn faces on my picture! Hey, I’m pretty computer saavy if I do say so myself but all these new apps drive me crazy.
If you were waiting for a big snow storm like I was I’m sad to say you will have to wait until next year. I really wanted a snow storm, just one, that would “snow us in” for a few days. I suppose it’s okay since I was barely creative this Winter. I guess I was trying to hibernate. Now that it is Spring there are so many outdoor projects that need to be addressed including yard work. I am having a tug-of-war between indoor home projects, those projects outdoors and the creative juices that have started flowing again. I have been busy in my craft room creating again. Finally!
I just participated in a craft show this past Saturday and have a couple more coming up in April. For the last couple years I have been invited to participate in the Heritage Festival on July 4th in Fredericksburg, VA. I enjoy walking around the Festival and admiring the crafters goods but it’s just too hot to be an outdoor vendor in July! I think that would be a great event to participate in though and maybe I will consider it in the future but for now I will be a spectator.
Here is where I will be in April:
April 8th – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm @ Spotsylvania High School Spring Fling
April 29th – 9:00 am – 3:00 pm @ Bethel Baptist Church – 1193 White Oak Road, Fredericksburg VA
Last night I created some really cute beaded lanyards and was so pleased with results. Lanyards will range from $18-$20. I have also been working on these hand stamped and painted pendants and earrings. They are created on small dominos and are so unusual. The sets will be $25. You can pick the style of chain you would like to wear with them. I have several options to choose from.
So if you aren’t busy come see me on the 8th or the 29th and see some of these creations in person. Pictures just don’t do them justice!
